Hi, We are having a problem with active sync which keeps reoccurring. Users are unable to add new active sync devices, but most devices (not all) which are already added continue to work. If we restart the IIS service on the exchange server active sync returns to normal and new devices can be added, but after a few days the problem reoccurs.
If I run a test on testconnectivity.microsoft.com from an account that has ran the test before the test is successful, but from a new account the test fails under "Checking the IIS configuration for client certificate authentication" with the error "Client certificate authentication couldn't be determined because an unexpected failure occurred. WinHttpReceiveResponse failed with error 12002." Also "Testing HTTP Authentication Methods" fails stating no response.
I've checked the logs at c\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC1 and I can see many 500/503 errors for service unavailable/server error. Looking elsewhere there doesn't appear to be anything that stands out as to what the issue is.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this and how we can stop it reoccuring?
Please help.
Thanks!
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
