Hi,
database is active on EX01 and I simulate a SERVICE failure on EX01 by stopping the IIS web service then Outlook disconnects and OWA/ECP gives me an HTTP 503 error. In this test EX02 still has the IIS web service running but is passive for the mailbox database.Basically after stopping the web service on EX01 everything stops working.
On the Netscaler it detects that there is a problem with the web service on EX01 after I stop the service but why is Outlook disconnected after I do this and why does OWA/ECP give a 503 error?
What should happen when there is a web service failure on the server that has an active copy of the mailbox database?Should Outlook stay connected and should OWA/ECP continue to work after a web service failure on one of the mailbox servers?
Please help.
